Experience

This is a partial list of my music experience. It will give you an idea of my abilities although various other gigs and accomplishments have been omitted for brevity's sake.

1980 - Began playing the piano and learned to read music from Claudia Westlund

1982 - Played in piano recitals

1983-1993 - Learned to play a variety of instruments including the flute, trumpet and tenor saxophone

1994 - Began playing the guitar and immediately started receiving professional instruction

1996 - Began playing guitar and singing in San Diego coffee houses

1996-1997 - Led a group at the Alpha Gamma Omega fraternity at San Diego State University

1996-1997 - Led music on my guitar for the recovering alcoholics and addicts at a recovery home in El Cajon

1996-1997 - Received voice lessons from Dr. Don Elsworth (Director of Music at Christian Heritage College)

1999 - Began playing and singing Christmas songs in convalescent homes

2000 - Began playing guitar and singing in San Diego book stores

2000-2001 - Worked as a private guitar instructor for a music studio in San Diego

2001 - Recorded my first album and began touring out of the state and playing live shows

2002 - Started playing the bass guitar and teaching private lessons

2003 - Recorded an acoustic album called "The A-Sessions" in London, England

2005 - Began teaching keyboard lessons to groups

2007 - Learned to play the drums from three accomplished drum instructors

2008 - Began writing concert and band reviews

2009 - Published Improvising Made Easy For Guitar and Bass (ISBN: 978-0-9813331-0-6)
